the a+ student exchange
Before you get started on where to stay in each Asian country, you have to determine your budget. There are many options when it comes to accommodation, ranging from hotels to apartments to hostels, and every option has its pros and cons.
As such, we will be providing a list of options you can choose from, and within these options, we will be telling you the best websites you can find the best deals from.
hotels
Staying in hotels seems like the most conventional and traditional option when it comes to accommodation but hotel prices can get rather pricey especially in the more popular seasons. However, there are some affordable deals that allows you to book hotel rooms at discounted prices!

1. Hotels.com
-
Hotels.com has a loyalty programme where you get 1 night free for every 10 nights that you book with hotels.com. This is a very worth website for those who travel frequently and enjoy staying at hotels. In addition, there are no blackout dates, which means that you can use it on any of the 365 days of the year.
2. Agoda.com
-
Agoda.com is another online platform that you can use to book hotels (and other accommodations) in Asia, and releases daily deals for customers. The good thing about agoda.com would be that you can book flights, airport transfer and rent cars as well, making it very convenient for users.
airbnbs
-
With the recent rise of airbnb in the world, more people are looking to book accomodations in Airbnb. I personally enjoy using airbnb because you truly get to experience living how the locals live, very different from the experience you would have staying in a hostel or a hotel.
-
Airbnb normally does not have discounts because it is a platform for hosts to list their apartments to customers, but first time customers get S$45 OFF their first stay using Airbnb, and every new user you invite, you get a S$25 voucher upon the completion of their first stay!

Try airbnb out here!
hostels
Hostels are budget accomodation for travellers who do not mind sharing a common space with strangers and are open to making new friends. Very often, you will be sharing a dormitory with other people.
My favourite thing about staying in a hostel would be the fact that location is usually very good (very near the city centre/attractions), and that there are usually free events held at night that will allow you to meet other people from different countries. Another pro about staying in a hostel would be its 24/7 reception, something that you may not be able to get when you stay in an Airbnb because most apartments are hosted by people who have regular jobs.
